| The SSBA Judges are students - not librarians, teachers or parents. Each year I ask for keen, Gifted & Talented readers in Yr 7, 8 or 9 to volunteer as our Judges. The books count as KS3 Judges' Bronze Level category books for the KS3 Reading Challenge. Yr 10s will receive HCs |
| Judges Wanted for S.S.B.A. 2008 |
| Judges must be ready, able & willing to: |
• Read the 5 short listed fiction titles by
30th November 2008 – first title to be read
over the summer holiday. |
| (See last year's short list and previous winners for the type of books you'd be reading) |
| • Complete a Rating Sheet for each title example here |
| • Write a short review of 100-150 words - these are posted on the SSBA website
|
| • Attend regular lunchtime/after school meetings to discuss the books |
| • Vote on the titles at the beginning of December |
• Have the opportunity (depending on number of Judges) to attend the
Award Presentation Evening in January 2009 where you can meet the authors. |
