 :: S.S.B.A. ::        
The SSBA Judges are students - not librarians, teachers or parents. Each year I ask for keen, Gifted & Talented readers in Yr 7, 8 or 9 to volunteer as our Judges. The books count as KS3 Judges' Bronze Level category books for the KS3 Reading Challenge. Yr 10s will receive HCs
Judges Wanted for S.S.B.A. 2008
Judges must be ready, able & willing to:
   •  Read the 5 short listed fiction titles by 30th November 2008 – first title to be read
      over the summer holiday.
      (See last year's short list and previous winners for the type of books you'd be reading)
   •  Complete a Rating Sheet for each title example here
   •  Write a short review of 100-150 words - these are posted on the SSBA website
   •  Attend regular lunchtime/after school meetings to discuss the books
   •  Vote on the titles at the beginning of December
   • Have the opportunity (depending on number of Judges) to attend the
     Award Presentation Evening in January 2009 where you can meet the authors.
