Barrington
Stoke
"At Barrington Stoke we have a clear vision of what is needed to entice
reluctant readers. They want gripping stories by the same first class authors
who are popular with their school friends. Texts must be so subtly adapted that
these children do not feel patronised or short-changed. Accessible language,
a fast-moving and unambiguous plot and clear presentation are essential. Our
titles bridge that important gap between graded readers and 'real' books." Chair
of Barrington Stoke.
The College Library has many of these
titles. They are an integral element of the KS3 Reading Challenge.
