The 'ABC' free magazine produced by Brighton & Hove Council is available in the children's area on the window display shelf.
Pre-school story books are available in the 'kinder boxes' near the Children's fiction. there are also board books, some of which are in boxes under the main units.
Pre-school DVDs may not be borrowed on College tickets. Also, there is a hire charge.

Baby Centre
is worth a look, quite user friendly. Look in particular at development milestones.
Baby World
looks in particular at pregnancy and birth.
BBC's Parenting
pages have some very useful information and links.
The Child Care Nutrition Resource System
is very useful for a variety of food aspects, especially food safety.
The Child Development Institute
is an American site that looks at the early years from a psychological perspective. Masses of information!
Family Fun
part of the Disney site, looks at activities plus children's health, growth and development. Check out the All Tools for more useful information.
KidsHealth
is another American site. Child Care students should find their Parent section very useful.
NCT or National Childbirth Trust
is not just concerned with pregnancy and birth aspects. check out the Child Development section.
Pampers,
although a commercial site has some good activity and information pages.
Raising Kids
is an online resource for parents. Look on the menu list to the left for the age range in which you are interested.
