Fine Art History Quick Reference
Search by artist, style or country. BUT the idiots listed the artists under their FIRST names so you have to look carefully - unless e.g. you know it is Piet Mondrian.

Excellent - especially its Famous Artworks sections, which you can access via Artist Index or Theme.

     Excellent - clear and useful. Offers multimedia too.
    Thinkquest: Leonardo da Vinci: Man of Both Worlds
     offers 3 entry levels: Novice, Intermediary and Advanced. Excellent collection of      thumbnail sketches, particularly in the Advanced Level, except the Artwork ones - these      pictures are best accessed through WebGallery or Artchive.

     has detailed information on four buildings.

     has detailed descriptions of his work and a brief biography
    Gaudi 2002
     is the official page celebrating the 150th anniversary of Antoni Gaudi. Includes images      and background information on the architect and his work. Masses of information!
